So, last night I sent this email to AT&T:
Here are YOUR terms:For all AT&T High Speed Internet Residential orders placed after 9/1/07:You must order new AT&T High Speed Internet service with equipmentYour rebate form, sent via U.S. Postal Service 4-6 weeks after high speed Internet order is placed, must be postmarked within 90 days of the service activation dateYou must keep your AT&T High Speed Internet service for a minimum of 30 days from the activation dateYour account must be billableYou must not have received a credit or refund for your equipment Which I DID ABIDE BY. I have sent this link: http://hairtiesgalorenmore.blogspot.com/ to my local television stations so that they may look into your consumer fraud issues. I am finished playing games, I just want the $150 that I was promised when I signed up in April of 2008. No more excuses! I will be sending YOU a bill for my time & troubles & my $150 as well as the bill for the attorney I am forced to hire.
It was sent out around 9:30 last night. I didn't receive a response until 2:30 this afternoon. It is as follows: Greetings Sherry,Thank you for your email in regard to your account. My name is Krissy and I will be happy to assist you. Please accept my apology for the frustration you are experiencing since you have not received your rewards. We try to handle as many inquiries as possible through email. However, your specific concern needs to be handled by the AT&T Rewards Center. Please call 1-877-258-1427 to speak to a service representative. We are available weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, CT. Sherry, thank you for contacting AT&T, I hope that AT&T can serve your needs again in the future.Regards,KrissyYour AT&T Customer Service Representative
Needless to say it made me even angrier which you will see by my response. Those of you who know can see I am really holding back here. Here is my response back to them: Obviously you didn't bother to read the blog or you would see that I have ALREADY contacted the rewards department. Someone needs to own up to this and own up quickly. I spoke with Tammy, Lisa, Tracy and John when I was signing up for your services. I still have ALL my notes. I was told since I was switching from cable to YOUR services I would get $200 in rebates etc. I ONLY received the $50 from the dish company. (which had you read the blog you would already know all of this) I want the rest of my money and your bill taken OFF my credit report ASAP. I am very tired of the run around from your company and your customer service really sucks. I will make sure MORE people see my blog and know just how your company works.
I am also forwarding this to the news channels I contacted last night.
Just to be clear on some things, I am in no way trying to air my dirty laundry, I just want people to be aware of the way this company does business. I have already heard from someone that they too are having problems and wished I had posted this alot sooner. I am sorry and I hope this keeps anyone else from making the same mistakes that we did.
I'm sure I won't be hearing back from them until tomorrow afternoon, but I will keep you posted on the progress!
