AT&T..............The final round

I WON I WON I WON!!!!!!!!!!
At about 2:45 this afternoon I got a call from Angela at the corporate office and my bill is being erased and taken out of collections and off of my credit report. She said she is looking into it all further to see why it was all denied in the first place because when she checked all of my information, (I was right) I had done everything I was supposed to do so there was no reason that I should not have gotten my rebates. I am soooo happy!! It is ok that I am not getting money from them, I am happy with the way it turned out. It would be nice to get the money yes, but it's ok. Hell they would have gotten $100 of it anyway for my bill. LOL so they can keep the rest as long as she keeps to her word and erases it from everything. I have her direct line if there are any problems. I also recorded the conversation as well.

AT&T Round???????

Ok, so I'm starting to lose count LOL, but NOT patience. (My mom will disagree as I have NO patience to begin with LOL) Here is the latest email from yet ANOTHER customer service rep at AT&T. My responses back to her are in purple. I have also emailed and snail mailed Mr Randall Stephenson the CEO. Still waiting on my return receipt. Oh, and I sent him a bill too for $2,750.00 for everything.

Greetings Sherry,Thank you for your email regarding your rebate. Which one? My name is Mamie, and I will be happy to assist you with your inquiry. By sending me to customer service, right? I called you today at 2:54 PM (CST) but did not get an answer. I apologize for the frustration you have encountered with your reward. I do not want apologies, I want a check.I have been unsuccessful in our attempts to reach you by telephone. Why is attempt plural? 1 phone call and you are unsuccessful? Please reply to this email and provide us with a number where you can be reached and the best time for us to call. You have my number and I am here when I am here. I am not going to wait around to hear from you. You can tell me when you are going to call so that I may be here. Better yet just let Mr Stephenson handle it. I'm done with customer service. Our office is available to make calls from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday. So why only 1 "attempt" in all those hours?
Sherry, I try to handle as many inquiries as possible through email. What is so hard about handling this through an email? Just send me my check. Round 3 with AT&T

Greetings Sherry,Thank you for your email in regard to the AT&T Rewards you were supposed to receive. I will be happy to assist you with your inquiry.
I can understand your frustration, but once you remove AT&T as your carrier, you forfeit any pending rewards that may have been issued. You would not be eligible to receive the additional $150.00 in rewards because AT&T is no longer your carrier.
If you have further questions, you must contact the AT&T Reward Center at 1-877-258-1427.
If I can be of any further assistance, please reply directly to this email.

That is the response I got from them this afternoon. Here is my reply back to them:
Obviously none of you really do understand my frustration as you keep typing the same form letter to me.

#1 I had YOUR services for the specified amount of time to receive MY rewards.
#2 NO ONE would give me a straight answer BEFORE I cancelled my services as to where MY rewards were.
#3 I WILL NOT contact the rewards department again as it seems to me that YOUR operators that took my orders for these services and rewards are the ones that LIED to me. So to cover YOUR backside, all of a sudden I am "no longer eligible". Here it is plain and simple BULLSHIT!! I am sick and tired of you big corporations taking advantage of everyone and if you think this is over, you better THINK AGAIN!! I am far from through with you!!
#4 As you already know, I have contacted local news stations about this and next on the list are the newspapers, the FCC and the BBB. Oh and I also update thousands (literally) of people about this in my blog.
So, get your paperwork ready and I will see you in court.
To be "of any further assistance" to me, you can "assist" me by giving me what is MINE!!


P.S. I should have known from the beginning that it was a scam when I tried every phone number and email address listed in your TV ads and they were ALL bogus!

Oh and as I write this I just got an email from them again it is as follows:

Wow!! Your automated system knows when I cuss, but you can't open links or attachments that are sent?? Sounds like you have a really great virus protection there.

Relay For Life Craft Show & Silent Auction

Hi everyone!!
First I shall give you a quick update on AT&T. I say quick because I received an email back from them the day before yesterday stating that "they are not allowed to open attatchments" so I copy/pasted the blog and sent it again. Guess what? Still no answers from them. I think when I am done with my blog here, I shall email them again. They are going to get really sick of me, but the feeling is mutual. LOL

Ok, next on the list. I am helping my cousin Pam, a 2 time cancer survivor, host her 3rd annual Relay for Life Craft show and silent auction on March 28th. My cousin is also our team captain (Fishing For A Cure). Her church is a co-sponsor and that is where we hold the craft show and auction.
Each year we ask businesses and organizations for a donation for the Silent Auction and/or monies to help with expenses. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Net proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society through our team Fishing For A Cure.

AT&T Update

So, last night I sent this email to AT&T:

I am finished playing games, I just want the $150 that I was promised when I signed up in April of 2008. No more excuses! Needless to say it made me even angrier which you will see by my response. Those of you who know can see I am really holding back here. Here is my response back to them: Obviously you didn't bother to read the blog or you would see that I have ALREADY contacted the rewards department. Someone needs to own up to this and own up quickly. I spoke with Tammy, Lisa, Tracy and John when I was signing up for your services. I still have ALL my notes. I was told since I was switching from cable to YOUR services I would get $200 in rebates etc. I ONLY received the $50 from the dish company. (which had you read the blog you would already know all of this) I want the rest of my money and your bill taken OFF my credit report ASAP. I am very tired of the run around from your company and your customer service really sucks. I will make sure MORE people see my blog and know just how your company works.
I am also forwarding this to the news channels I contacted last night.

Just to be clear on some things, I am in no way trying to air my dirty laundry, I just want people to be aware of the way this company does business. I have already heard from someone that they too are having problems and wished I had posted this alot sooner. I am sorry and I hope this keeps anyone else from making the same mistakes that we did.
I'm sure I won't be hearing back from them until tomorrow afternoon, but I will keep you posted on the progress!

Another rampage and warning

Hello all,
I figured since I'm still on a rampage I would go ahead and blog about it and also warn others. STAY AWAY FROM AT&T!!!
So last year in April I decided I would take AT&T up on their offers and signed up with them. I was to get $200 back in rebates for taking the bundled package. I got $50 from the dish company they use and nothing else. No one could (or would) give me any information on where my other $150 was. In June I went back to cable and started getting calls from AT&T about my "bill". I said, You owe me $150 and when you pay me, I will pay you. Nothing. So today I get a phone call asking me to please call this number so that they will stop bothering this business. Here the collections company has been calling a factory and won't believe that I don't and never have worked there.
So, I call the number (collection agency) and we go through all this bs and she says "how will you be paying today, cash, check credit card?" I said "How will I be paying? I will pay when AT&T pays me what they owe me." Well says she, you will have to call them to take care of this then, but until then we will keep calling you at the number I just reached you at. HUH? I said, ummm I CALLED YOU!!
Oh, yes your right. Well we will continue to call the number we have on file (she reads number) I said, thats not my number and you need to quit calling the factory that you are bothering. I said I haven't even had a job in 7 years.
Soooooooo, now I call AT&T and I tell Jerry right up front not to take anything personally. I explain the whole situation that the collection agency is calling a shop and the shop tracked me down to get the message to me and that I am NOT paying the bill until I get my other $150.
Now I get put on hold so that Jerry can get ahold of the Rewards Department. Jerry comes back and has the rewards department on a 3 way. I again have to explain what the problem is only to be told "I'm sorry you no longer have service with us so we cannot issue you the rewards." EXCUSE ME? I was told when I signed up that I would get $200 back for signing with you. I kept the services for over a month and nobody could or would tell me where my rebates were and now you tell me I'm not getting them because I no longer have your services? That is correct. UUUMMM, I HAD THE SERVICES WHEN I WAS PROMISED THE REBATES. Yes, but you don't now, so we can't do anything. Is there anything else I can do for you?
Yes, give me my money and get me a supervisor. Well... GET ME A SUPERVISOR!!
On hold again (with a warning that supervisor is going to tell me the same thing) Hello? yes. Can I help you? Yes, I'd like the rebates I was promised last year when I signed up for your services. I am now in collections for a bill I do not owe you because YOU owe me $150! Guess what.............again "I'm sorry, you no longer have our services so there is nothing we can do for you." I say again, "BUT I HAD YOUR SERVICES WHEN I WAS EXPECTING THE REBATES!"
"Yes, but you no longer have them and theres nothing we can do. They don't even show up in the computer that you were to get them." WHAT?? I have all my notes from when I was calling and setting all this up. I was to get $200 in rebates back, I only got $50 from the dish company. Yes you cashed the check from the dish company. I know that, I want the rest of my money. Sorry can't help you.
Ok, fine you can write the bill I "owe" you off and you can talk to my attorney. You won't pay me what I am owed, your not getting anything from me. Talk to my attorney.
I guess you could say it's a typical Monday. Oh and a full moon to boot!
Be warned about AT&T they are scammers. Like my Grandma always said "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
